UKIP deputy in campaign cancer fight
SURGERY Suzanne Evans UKIP deputy chairwoman Suzanne Evans revealed she had breast cancer surgery just days before the general election was called.
The party’s health spokesman, 52, headlined a Facebook post yesterday: “Something I have to say.”
The message said she had to put plans to take time out and rest on hold during the campaign.
She was now two weeks into a radiotherapy course and would be away from politics until autumn.
But she added: “I expect to make a full recovery.”
Ms Evans was criticised during the election campaign for saying that Theresa May “must bear some responsibility” for the Manchester terror attack.
