ROGER Moore was given a moving, intimate send-off by family and friends, including Joan Collins.

The actress, 84, said after the funeral in Monaco on Saturday: “Beautiful and loving service for one of the great Saints, Knights and Gents of our time.

“One last drink. Goodbye, dear Sir Roger Moore,” Dame Joan added on Twitter. The Bond movie star died in Switzerland last month aged 89 after a “short but brave” battle with cancer.

His manager and biographer, Gareth Owen, posted a photo of the order of service on the actor’s official Twitter account yesterday.

He added the message: “Yesterday we said our goodbyes in a beautiful service and celebrated a wonderful life.” The actor’s three children, Deborah, Geoffrey and Christian, announced his death in a Twitter statement on May 23.

They said: “Thank you Pops for being you, and for being so very special to so many people.”

Sir Roger’s 007 predecessors and successors offered tributes after he died.

Sir Sean Connery who, like Moore, starred in a total of seven Bond movies, said he would “miss” the actor, with whom he enjoyed a long friendship “filled with jokes and laughter”.

Daniel Craig simply wrote “Nobody Does It Better”, in reference to the theme song of The Spy Who Loved Me. Pierce Brosnan lauded him as “magnificent”.

Sir Roger is also survived by wife of 15 years, Kristina Tholstrup, 77.
