Rescuers in 800ft abseil
RESCUERS abseiled 800ft in fog to reach a climber with serious arm injuries left hanging upside down after falling more than 30ft.
The man, in his 40s, had been hit by boulders.
His partner lowered him to a ledge at Fingers Ridge, near Aviemore, in the Scottish Highlands.
A Cairngorm Mountain Rescue team took seven hours to bring him down
Leader Willie Anderson, said: “It was a very technical rescue at times.”
The climber was flown to hospital in Inverness.
