Better taste on reflection
PEOPLE who dine by themselves enjoy food more if they eat in front of a mirror, a study revealed.
Volunteers reported popcorn tasted better when they could see their own reflection than when alone or facing a monitor.
Researchers hope the finding helps lonely older people enjoy food more and eat larger portions.
Dr Nobuyuki Kawai, of Nagoya University, Japan, said: “For older adults, enjoying food is associated with quality of life.”
