www.nerc-charity.org.uk Over 40 people in the UK lose their sight every day. The National Eye Research Centre is a UK charity which raises money to fund research into the causes of eye disease, the development of treatments and the prevention of blindness.

The charity was originally established to fund eye research at the University of Bristol but it now funds research in the leading centres of ophthalmology in universities and hospitals throughout the UK.
