Coward! President’s new jibe on leaks
DONALD Trump took a new swipe at fired FBI chief James Comey yesterday, accusing him of being “cowardly” and regularly tipping off the press.
The President woke early to unleash his latest Twitter attack on the ex-intelligence director, who admitted during Senate testimony last week that he leaked memos he had written about his meetings with Trump “to a friend”.
The US leader tweeted: “I believe the James Comey leaks will be far more prevalent than anyone ever thought possible. Totally illegal? Very cowardly!”
Comey told senators he kept notes of the White House meetings because he was “honestly concerned” Trump might lie about them later.
