Collins on stage after fall

-

ROCK legend Phil Collins won a standing ovation as he returned to the stage last night after a bad fall forced him to postpone his last two concerts in London.

The singer was performing just four days after he slipped in a hotel room and went to hospital with a severe gash on his head.

Collins, 66, had a plaster above his left eye as he sung Against All Odds to open the show in front of thousands of fans at the Lanxess Arena, in Cologne, Germany.

Collins started his first tour in a decade last week with shows at the Royal Albert Hall in London.

But back problems meant he went on stage with a cane and sat down for much of the gigs.
