Costa in loan plan to beat the Blues

- BY ADRIAN KAJUMBA

DIEGO COSTA wants to escape Chelsea by going out on loan. The Spain striker (above) also took another swipe at Blues boss Antonio Conte, who told him by text that he was no longer wanted at Stamford Bridge. Costa is desperate to return to his old club Atletico Madrid, but their transfer ban scuppers his hopes of playing for them in the first half of next

season. But Costa said: “I have a two-year contract with Chelsea. They have to decide. If they sell me, I will look for the best choice.

“Atletico is among them. It would not mean not playing. I could join a team on loan in Spain, Brazil or anywhere but I have to play.

“The fight for the position has to be fair to stay and fight, but the fight at Chelsea is not fair and I have to go.”

Costa could not resist having another go at Conte over how he was dumped.

He added: “In life, there are good and bad people. I keep the good of everything. You have to ask him, not me. It’s an opinion of the coach.”
