‘Death driver didn’t feel hit’

A LORRY driver mowed down and dragged a cyclist under his wheels before driving off to complete his delivery, a court was told.

Darren Anderton, 49, had stopped to see Magda Tadaj, 25, lying in the road and waited for paramedics, Old Bailey jurors heard.

On his arrest, the driver allegedly said he did not know how she came to be on the ground in Croydon, South London, and did not remember any impact.

Anderton, of Nuneaton, Warwicks, denies causing death by careless driving.
