Job cuts at Mitie

Outsourcing giant Mitie is poised to slash jobs after revealing a £45million cost cutting drive.

Areas earmarked for savings include finance and human resources.

It came as Mitie, which does everything from office cleaning to security for other firms, posted a near £60m annual loss.

A series of accounting blunders left the firm with £180m in one off costs alone.

Mitie has also flogged its home care arm for a massive loss.
