DANNY CARE is stunned that the Lions gave fly-half George Ford the cold shoulder.

Ford (right), with England in Argentina, was left out of the trip to New Zealand in favour of Wales’ Dan Biggar but showed what they are missing with a masterclass on Saturday in San Juan.

The 24-year-old scored 23 points in the madcap 38-34 win over Argentina and scrum-half Care said: “He is only 24, which is scary with how mature and how good a player he is. “I can’t believe he’s not further Down Under. His goal-kicking was the best I have seen from him. He was knocking them over from 50 metres on the angle. “He can do everything and he makes it look so simple.” England play the second and final Test against Argentina in Santa Fe on Saturday.
