Spurs eye on Pereira

SPURS boss Mauricio Pochettino has identified Ricardo Pereira as the man to replace Kyle Walker.

Manchester City will open talks with Tottenham this week over their £40million bid to sign England full-back Walker.

And £20m-rated Portuguese defender Pereira, 23, is wanted by Spurs to take his place.

Pereira, whith two senior caps for his country, can also operate as a winger.

He has spent the last two seasons on loan at French club Nice, from Porto, and helped them qualify for the Champions League.

Pochettino is also eyeing reinforcements further forward, with Leicester winger Demarai Gray and Schalke attacking midfielder Max Meyer among his targets.
