Robshaw raring to go again

- FROM ADAM HATHAWAY in Buenos Aires

CHRIS ROBSHAW is poised to play his first Test match since December when England take on Argentina in Saturday’s second Test in Santa Fe.

Robshaw missed the entire Six Nations with shoulder trouble and last week’s opener against the Pumas with an ankle injury.

The 31-year-old, who has won 55 caps, was back in full training at San Isidro Rugby Club in Buenos Aires yesterday and lined up with the first-choice team.

Piers Francis was also running with the A-listers a week after winning his first cap off the bench in San Juan.

Francis replaced Alex Lozowski after 55 minutes last Saturday but the roles were reversed yesterday as boss Eddie Jones oversaw a high-intensity training session.

Flanker Tom Curry sat out the contact practice and was replaced by Sam Underhill – suggesting Underhill will win his first cap at the weekend. Curry was replaced after 71 minutes of the first Test with a shoulder problem.

England won Saturday’s crazy game 38-34 with a late try from Denny Solomona when they had looked down and out.

Yesterday’s practice was full-on and wing Jonny May said: “When you are under that physical stress with unstructured play under fatigue, it gets you ready for the hard matches.”
