No one is believed to have escaped alive from floors 22-24 of the tower block

Firefighters manage to reach the 21st floor of the blazing building as they struggle to bring the inferno under control.

A resident on the 17th floor says he first noticed the blaze. By the time he left his flat, he said the flames had reached his window.

First 999 call is made after fire breaks out, possibly from a faulty fridge, in flat 16 occupied by Behailu Kebede on the 4th floor of 24-storey Grenfell Tower. LUXURY Boss’s £900k mansion BOSSES at the firm that installed the cladding on Grenfell Tower put £2.5million into tax schemes before the company went bust, the Mirror can reveal.

Harley Curtain Wall Ltd folded owing £764,000 after completing the £3million project.

Administrators found the taxman was looking into two tax schemes used by Harley boss Ray Bailey, with £1.5million paid into a “business benefit trust” and another £981,000 into an “employee benefit trust”.

Mr Bailey could not be contacted at his £900,000 home in Crowborough, East Sussex, which has a large indoor pool. Four cars were parked in the drive.

On the Harley website, Mr Bailey said: “At this time, we are not aware of any link between the fire and the exterior cladding.”

The firm installed cladding at the Chalcot Estate in Camden, North London, and at Ferrier Point in Newham, East London.
