50% let kids see 18 films

HALF of parents would let their young children watch an 18-rated movie, a survey has shown.

Less than a third admit to monitoring what their children watch on TV.

But 90% fear their children are growing up too fast and 75% are shocked by their kids’ language, said the poll of 2,000 for furniture firm distinctivechesterfields.com

Tom Madders, of charity YoungMinds, said: “It is so important for parents to talk to their children.”
