Crazed best man broke guest’s jaw

A BEST man stamped on a female wedding guest’s face when he “went berserk” at the reception.

Chris Deegan, 29, had punched a male guest unconscious and bitten his ear when the woman, 35, tried to intervene.

Deegan’s partner Jodie Hardy, 27, dragged her by the hair before Deegan kicked her head and shattered her jaw with a stamp.

He was high on cocaine and booze when he caused the “life-changing” injuries at a Manchester hotel.

At the city’s crown court Deegan, of Rochdale, admitted assaults causing grievous and actual bodily harm and was jailed for seven years, two months.

The judge said he “went berserk”. Hardy also admitted assault and got a suspended sentence.
