Inquest No2 for Deepcut

-

A FRESH inquest into the death of a soldier at Deepcut barracks will find out if he was the victim of “bullying and harassment”.

Private Sean Benton, 20, was the first of four soldiers to die of gunshot wounds at the base in Surrey from 1995 to 2002.

An initial inquest gave a verdict of suicide.

A hearing at the Old Bailey was told the new inquest in January will look at Pte Benton’s “state of mind” and “systemic shortcomings” at Deepcut.
