RARE BIRDIE STARS IN TESCO ADVERT
Mirror Pride of Britain winner Birdie McDonald MBE is the star of a new Tesco TV commercial.
The inspiring 80-year-old, who has fostered over 800 children since 1975, is seen with her special meal – Everybody Welcome Jerk Chicken.
It came as Tesco posted its biggest jump in UK sales for seven years.
Takings rose 2.3% in the 13 weeks to the end of May, the supermarket giant said.
