Fight for justice

PAYING £5,500 to families who lost everything in the Grenfell Tower disaster smacks of blood money when £5,000 would have bought fireproof cladding and saved many if not all the 58 lives lost.

Theresa May, the Conservative Government and Tory Kensington and Chelsea council are finally being shamed into action after an unforgivably tawdry response to the disaster.

Money will help the dispossessed in the short-term but evidence must be protected if we are to identify the guilty and ensure people are protected in future. This tragedy was avoidable. Those responsible must face justice.
