Don’t worry, I lick you

A YOUNG lion gives a baby antelope a tender lick after it lost its mother.

The fearsome predator sat and cared for the little calf, then carried it away by the scruff of its neck – the same way a lioness holds her cub. Graeme Mitchley, 45, snapped the astonishing scenes at Kruger National Park in South Africa.

He said: “That’s why the Kruger National Park is the best place on Earth, you never know what lies in wait around the following bend.”
