Swans join loan scrap for Tammy
JAMIE VARDY believes he has unearthed the next big thing from football’s non-League scrapheap.
SWANSEA have confirmed they want to take Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham on loan.
Abraham, 19, who scored 26 times in a spell at Bristol City last season, is also wanted by Brighton and Newcastle.
Swans boss Paul Clement knows the England Under-21 international from his time working in Chelsea’s academy.
Chairman Huw Jenkins said: “Tammy doesn’t have Premier League experience, but we’re interested.
“Paul knows him from Chelsea. If you look at the options which have been publicised... Brighton, Newcastle and ourselves.
“So it is left to Tammy and his family to decide where he wants to go next.”
Swansea have also made contact with former Chelsea defender John Terry. Jenkins added: “Paul had a conversation with John and his agent and we’re waiting to hear back.”
