Train strike hearing set

COMMUTERS will take the Government to the High Court on June 29 over the Southern Rail strikes.

Passengers have suffered disruption due to disputes over driver-only trains. The Association of British Commuters claims ministers failed to determine if rail managers breached franchise obligations.

Mick Cash, of the RMT train union, slammed Southern and its “unconditional support from this minority government, regardless of the safety and service consequences”.
