Ward bids to ease track row

WESLEY WARD yesterday offered the home team an olive branch to diffuse the row over his Royal Ascot team’s workout at the track last Wednesday.

Owner Sheikh Fahad Al Thani and trainer Michael Bell complained the move gave Ward’s raiding party an ‘unfair advantage’.

But the California trainer (right) said yesterday: “Everybody over here has been so kind and accommodating, and in no way, shape or form would I intend to tread on the home trainers’ toes, or cause a scutterbuck.”
