CALL TO AID RESIDENTS

-

OUTRAGE Brian May QUEEN star Brian May wants “an absolutely radical restart” of Government policy after the tower fire.

The guitarist, 69, savaged the Tories on his website.

He raged: “Almost as if it were a thunderbolt from the heavens, all those closed doors behind which the skulduggery took place have been opened...

“All those ruthless, selfish b ***** ds have to get the comeuppance now. They must go. Every last one of them.”

May, who features on Simon Cowell’s charity single, added: “It’s now so clear that the red tape and the social care network that the Tories absolutely consciously destroyed have led to our country being a wasteland for the common people.” LABOUR has demanded the Government come clean over claims they repeatedly ignored warnings about the fire risk to high-rise blocks.

The All-Party Parliamentary Fire Safety and Rescue Group sent letters telling ministers they “could not afford to wait for another tragedy”.

Shadow Housing Minister John Healey yesterday called on Communities Secretary Sajid Javid to release correspondence and justify ministers’ actions.
