Shouting about the peace in Greece

-

Dear BIZ

I’ve opened a shop, The Big Calm, in Crystal Palace, South London, to promote my two businesses.

I am a garden designer and builder, and I trained under a sensei master gardener.

I love to create chilled, low maintenance outdoor areas where people can enjoy some peace and quiet, and nature.

My other business is a holistic centre on the Greek island of Kefalonia. With this centre we run holidays where people can enjoy and learn yoga, meditation, nutrition and fitness to bring some balance to their busy lives.

We also organise sailing, scuba-diving and trekking for anyone who wants it.

I’m trying to attract and appeal to lots of different groups with ‘Ladies that Yoga’ long weekends.

We are based in a little olive grove overlooking the sea and it’s pretty heavenly. Evenings are rounded off with meals at a fantastic little kantina where people can enjoy sunset drinks and dinner.

I have a website, thebigcalm. com, but could do with a bit of help in promoting the holidays.

You need to persuade your garden clients to take their chilled state that step further by taking one of your holidays. Maybe offer a little incentive such as a small discount or treat for existing clients.

And ask everyone who has been RELAXED Nigel runs yoga retreats in Kefalonia

on one of your yoga retreats in Kefalonia to spread the word about how wonderful they are.

Use social media to get the message across. Post fun and beautiful pictures of your visitors doing yoga in the sunshine on the beach, the delicious food and people enjoying the sunset.

Get in touch with local yoga teachers and try and involve them. If you can get them to try one of your holidays they may just recommend them to their clients.

Also, get involved in the chat and conversation about the benefits, trends and calm of the yoga world. Support others in the industry by promoting their work and services, and re-post and tweet them so there will be a chance they will do the same for you.
