KEANE TO GET OVER UNITED KO

- BY DAVID ANDERSON

MICHAEL KEANE is gutted at seeing a dream move back to Manchester United fall through. The England defender thought he was Jose Mourinho’s No.1 centre-half target to rejoin United from Burnley. Keane, 24, was shocked when Victor Lindelof from Benfica was signed for £30.8million. Keane (left) has cooled his interest in an Old Trafford return because he needs to play regularly next season to cement a World Cup squad place. Everton are favourites to sign him, although boss Ronald Koeman is focused on other targets. Burnley are ready to keep him for the last year of his deal if they do not receive a satisfactory offer for the £25m-rated defender, even though he would then be free to leave on a Bosman.
