- BY STEPHEN WHITE

A WOMAN posed as a Swedish model to entrap men into helping her try to murder police.

Christine Connor, 31, rang 999 then threw two bombs in Belfast. Shrapnel lodged in houses but both officers were unhurt.

Connor, used a fake name and photos to set up her “United Struggle” Facebook page. She enlisted Stuart Downes, 31, of Shrewsbury, and an American man. Both have since taken their own lives.

Connor, from the Crumlin Road area of Belfast, admitted attempted murder and other terror offences and was jailed for 16 years, four months. Judge David McFarland said she was “committed to a violent philosophy to achieve political objectives”.
