EU hols rules ‘must Remain’

Consumer group Which? has called on the Government to maintain protection for UK holidaymakers during Brexit talks.

It says BA’s recent IT chaos and the abolition of mobile phone roaming charges showed the importance of existing consumer safeguards in the travel sector.

Which? chief executive Peter VicarySmith said: “The Government needs to put consumers at the heart of the negotiations to ensure that these types of existing safeguards are not watered down, and also look for opportunities to enhance consumer protections once we have left the EU.”
