Ellen murder: Man in court

A MAN has appeared in court accused of murdering Ellen Higginbottom.

Mark Buckley, 51, from Preston, Lancs, was remanded in custody by Wigan magistrates.

A-level student Ellen, 18, was stabbed to death. Her body was found at a nature park in Wigan on Saturday.

David Steele, 47, Dean Speakman, 30, and Vicki Calland, 30, all from Billinge, Merseyside, were charged with handling stolen goods and perverting the course of justice.
