‘WILD’ WILLIS BACK

-

MARCUS WILLIS will return to Wimbledon “leaner” but the same crowd-pleaser after getting a qualifying wild card yesterday.

The left-hander was the fairytale story of last year when he won seven matches before facing Roger Federer.

And without injured Maria Sharapova, the world No.387 will now be the biggest draw at Roehampton where he must win three times to reach the main event.

“If I get through, I would love to avoid Federer as I believe I can beat a lot of players there,” said Willis (right). “I’d rather play him in the fourth round, the semis or the final! I am a better player now – I am fitter and leaner.”
