New food show is just a re-hash

ITV has commission­ed a new consumer series called Eat, Shop, Save which sets families challenges to get fitter, enjoy healthier food and spend less.

It is fronted by Ranvir Singh alongside chef and nutritioni­st Dale Pinnock, finance guru Gemma Godfrey and fitness consultant Tom Pitfield.

The four-part series, which covers challenges spanning eight weeks, airs this summer against a backdrop of stretched budgets and rising obesity.

It is billed as a “new” series but how different can it be from Susanna Reid’s show Save Money: Good Food? We guess they’ve saved cash by not paying anyone at ITV to come up with fresh ideas. . .
