ANGRY BIRDS EVOLUTION

Rovio, creator of the first Angry Birds, has released a new “more adult” version of the mobile game, revisiting the age-old conflict between the determined birds and dastardly pigs.

Led by the nefarious Don Bacon, the pigs have invaded the idyllic Bird Island, and plan to turn it into a bustling hotel complex.

To defend the island, players must collect, train and evolve up to 100 new birds – some of which look like 80s action legends.

There’s naughty humour, pop culture references and classic turnbased RPG combat. But while the basic mechanics of catapulting birds at pigs is the same, it’s much more developed.

It’s cleverer, but doesn’t have the mindless fun of the original.
