Tribute for tragedy victims
SILENCE Fans’ tribute at start of festival yesterday FANS held a minute’s silence at the start of Glastonbury yesterday for those killed in the recent terror attacks in Manchester and London, and in the Grenfell Tower fire.
Ex-New Order bassist Peter Hook led the tribute. His daughter was injured at the terror-hit Ariana Grande gig on May 22.
He said: “I’ve been very kindly asked by
PAUSE Peter on stage the Eavis family to lead this minute’s silence. “Could we send our hopes and our prayers for love and life and freedom – the things we’re here to celebrate.”
