A rights mess

EXACTLY a year ago Britain woke to the news we were leaving the EU, triggering confusion for our country.

Instead of trying to ease uncertainty, cynical Theresa May unleashed even more with her vanity general election gamble.

EU leaders yesterday slapped down her offer over EU citizens’ rights. “Below expectations”, “risks worsening the situation of citizens” and “not sufficient” were some of the responses to what Mrs May called a “fair and serious offer”.

And this after her ongoing failure to strike a deal with the DUP, despite claims a pact was imminent. How can we ever trust this PM?
