Jamie such a grass act
JAMIE MURRAY targeted his first Wimbledon men’s doubles title after winning the Aegon Championships with Bruno Soares.
Murray, older brother of Andy, and the Brazilian won 11 points to claim their rain-delayed semi-final – and then stayed on Centre Court to beat French duo Julien Benneteau and Edouard Roger-Vasselin 6-2 6-3.
Murray and his Brazilian partner go into Wimbledon in red-hot form after also winning on grass in Stuttgart last week.
The Scot, who won the mixed doubles title at SW19 in 2007, said: “We couldn’t ask for more. It was sad Andy went out early but it is my chance for a change.”
