Netflix drama is fine and Scandi

FANS of dark Scandinavian drama can soak up post-apocalyptic series The Rain, coming to Netflix next year.

Six years after a virus wipes out most humans in the region, two siblings join a group of survivors trying to discover if a new world has begun elsewhere.

Set free from the rules of civilized society, each young member of the group has the freedom to be who they want to be – but they still suffer with love, jealousy, coming of age, and every problem they thought had vanished with the world as they knew it.

Created by Jannik Tai Mosholt – who worked on Borgen – Esben Toft Jacobsen and Christian Potalivo, it is the network’s first Danish original series.

Sounds cheery even by Scandi standards, eh?
