REMEMBER THE WONDERFUL DRAGONS EURO 2016 PARTY? WELL NOW WATCH THE MOVIE

- BY JOHN CROSS

WALES’ Euro 2016 heroics have turned Aaron Ramsey into a film star. The movie Don’t Take Me Home is released on DVD and Blu-ray on July 3 – and Ramsey reckons it brings back reminders to cherish of the best summer in Welsh football history. Ramsey said: “The film was brilliant and definitely did bring back so many great memories. It was an unbelievable experience and the film encapsulates the feelings we shared as a nation. “I’ve watched films about Ronaldo, Senna and Seve Ballesteros which I thought were really good. “I enjoy films that are about real people, real events. Don’t Take Me Home stands up to those films and is just as good, if not better, as it’s about an entire country celebrating special moments, not just one individual.

“The bit where the gaffer Chris Coleman shouts to Chris Gunter not to cross the ball and he crosses it anyway is a classic.

“It led to a goal and the gaffer quickly changed to celebrating the goal!

“That sums up the fun we had on and off the pitch and that game – beating Belgium 3-1 – was a great night in Welsh history.

“Wales hadn’t qualified for the Euros for some time and to achieve that and experience the journey that we went on was brilliant.

“We were just going with it and having a good time too.”
