Pay rises for Bentley staff
TWO thousand workers at carmaker Bentley have won a 6.5% pay rise and will have their hours cut in a “groundbreaking” deal.
Their working week will be reduced by two hours to 35 from 2019 and they will receive a payment worth £900 over three years.
Unite union said staff in Crewe, Cheshire, voted for the deal by three to one.
Regional officer Phil Morgan said: “This gives members a great deal of security in a very uncertain time for carmakers.”
