Grief for dad in road alert
A DAD whose daughter was killed by a car on a blind bend said he was told someone had to die there before safety action would be taken.
Kate Whalley, 18, was hit near her home after taking an A-level exam. A man of 22 was arrested.
Dad Michael, 54, had raised fears about speeding with councillors in Pool-inWharfedale, near Leeds, but said he was told “there needed to be a fatality”.
Leeds City Council denied it had such a policy.
