Kev is worried by Cats crisis
KEVIN PHILLIPS has distanced himself from the Sunderland job after calling the club’s plight ‘worrying’.
Relegated Black Cats players start pre-season training today with no boss in sight after Aberdeen’s Derek McInnes had second thoughts.
Derby coach Phillips, who scored 116 goals in 211 league games for the Wearsiders, said: “The Sunderland situation... who knows what is happening there?
“It worries me when Derek McInnes turns the job down. Until the takeover happens, if it happens, I understand people distancing themselves.”
