Marr spills his May poll secret
CREAM SILK May on Marr in 2013 Andrew Marr may have had a hand in Theresa May’s poor election campaign, as he damaged her confidence, and her clothes, even before she was PM.
After a tough interview on his Sunday morning BBC One show he invited the then Home Secretary to breakfast.
Marr recalls: “She sat opposite and I poured her coffee. I asked her for milk and she was wearing a silk trouser suit. It was brand new.
“I leaned over, clipped the milk jug and soaked her in ice-cold milk from nipples to knees and she really got quite upset.
“She is cripplingly shy. She finds meeting people almost intolerable and that is why she had a bad campaign.
“She is a very old-fashioned politician and the world does not like that reticence any more.”
