Gang leader shot himself in the groin
A GANGSTER was caught after accidentally blasting one of his testicles with a sawn-off shotgun.
Bungling Scott Benjamin, 30, was rushed to hospital, where surgeons had to remove the testicle.
Police found two sawnoff shotguns at the house in Walsall, West Mids, after the incident in January.
Benjamin, of Chelmsley Wood, Birmingham, later admitted possessing the illegal weapons.
Niall Skinner, defending, told Birmingham crown court: “The facts are particularly unusual.”
The former cage fighter had been jailed for six years in 2011, after police found a loaded pistol under a bed at the home of an ex-girlfriend.
Benjamin is due to be sentenced next month.
