FUNERAL Farewell to Rayna
SKY LIVING, 9.pm Pay your respects to Rayna Jaymes, Nashville’s Queen of Country, who was cruelly ripped away from us in last week’s shocking episode.
In scenes that left millions of fans sobbing in disbelief, the show’s leading lady, played by Connie Britton, flatlined on a hospital bed after a car crash.
Having survived countless near-death experiences, not to mention a knife-wielding stalker just hours before, we hardly thought she would ever leave us, y’all.
And tonight’s episode is even more emotional. It’s the day of the funeral and Deacon Claybourne (Charles Esten) is reading that famous WH Auden poem “Stop all the clocks...”.
As the rain pours down, he, Maddie and Daphne are inconsolable with grief.
“It’s like the sky’s crying,” says Scarlett.
At the wake, watch out for a couple of plotting villains, namely Rayna’s sister – the slightly dead-inside Tandy – and ex-husband Teddy, who’s out from prison on bereavement leave.
But most importantly, how will Nashville cope now?
