Red lights for sweets plea
DOCTORS back calls for sweets to come with “traffic light” warnings.
Packets should have red, amber and green markings to show which are the worst for children’s health, said the British Medical Association. The Bournemouth conference called for compulsory dental hygiene lessons in primary schools and free toothbrushes for under-fives.
Dr Iain Kennedy said: “It is shocking that so many children this young need to have teeth removed.”
