Kop aim to grow wings and Nab Red Bull’s Keita
LIVERPOOL are ready to test Red Bull Leipzig’s resolve over top midfield target Naby Keita.
Moneybags Leipzig insist they do not want to sell the £70million-rated midfielder, with chief executive Oliver Mintzlaff claiming it would be “irresponsible” to cash in on the Guinea star before their first Champions League campaign. But Liverpool are still keen to open talks over a fee.
Keita (above), 22, was one of the Bundesliga’s star performers last season, scoring eight goals and making seven assists.
Liverpool also remain interested in Hull City’s Scotland left-back Andy Robertson, who would cost at least £10m.
