Conte targets £30M Germany defender
ANTONIO CONTE has made a shock move for Germany defender Jerome Boateng. Conte has turned to the Bayern Munich centre-half (left) in a bid to strengthen his squad as Chelsea look to carry on their spending.
The Blues have made an
enquiry to check on Boateng’s availability and it is believed the World Cup winner would be open to a move back to the Premier League.
The 28-year-old had a year at Manchester City but joined Bayern in 2011 and has enjoyed huge success.
But injuries have often curtailed his progress and the Bundesliga champs could be open to a sale, although they would want in excess of £30million.
Conte is desperate to strengthen his defence and Boateng would be seen as a top-class signing with John Terry and Nathan Ake both leaving Stamford Bridge.
