‘Young snub hurt Tories’

THERESA May’s deputy will today admit the Tory election disaster was down to failing to woo the young.

First Secretary of State Damian Green will also highlight Labour’s success in the area and warn his party must “change hard”.

Mr Green will tell the Bright Blue think-tank: “It is clear our failure to win a majority last month lies in those aged 18 to 35, among whom Labour led by over 30 percentage points.”

He says building homes would attract the young.
