No wonder poor Sam’s so hard up

Samantha Cameron has come in for some stick after claiming she doesn’t have a lot of money left over to buy designer clothes because of “childcare/mortgage etc”. Cynics point out that she’s the daughter of a multimillionaire aristocrat married to a former Prime Minister.

That’s as maybe, but they’re not factoring in the “etc” she’s referring to. And until they’ve been faced with constant blackmail demands to hand over millions or have photos of their partner acting intimately with a pig released, they’ll never understand how stretched a family budget can get.
