A loss to bear

This is a bad photo of a bad photo of Paddington, as knitted by my mum (wellies apart obvs) to remind me how much I loved him as a child. He had pride of place on a living room rocking chair and was the source of much embarrassment when, as a student, I took friends home to Wales.

I think marmaladeloving Paddington’s other creator, Michael Bond, who died this week, aged 91, would have added: “Please look after this bear.”
