Blues on Rud alert

CHELSEA are in talks with Roma defender Antonio Rudiger.

Blues boss Antonio Conte is desperate to strengthen his defence and they have turned to the Germany international.

Rudiger, 24, is rated in the £30million bracket by Roma. The ex-Stuttgart defender will play in the Confederations Cup final against Chile tomorrow.

His power, strength and pace would be a match for what Conte wants to strengthen his squad.

The Blues have also looked at Kostas Manolas, Leonardo Bonucci, Jerome Boateng and Virgil van Dijk.
